Our Mission is to ensure that when federal agencies (principally, but not exclusively, the U.S. Forest Service) offer timber for sale, the projects are consistent with agency policies and economically and operationally feasible, the standard and site-specific provisions of the contracts are fair, and all timber that is included in the sale is actually available for harvest. The Committee provides the opportunity for discussion with the responsible agency personnel of respective needs and concerns. The ultimate goal of the FTPC is to maximize the agencie's ability to meet forest plan production goals.
